Criminal authority Zaur Aliev (Zaika) has once again made himself known. He was supposed to serve an 18-year sentence, but was released through the SMO.

And now he is imposing tribute on traders, restaurant owners and company owners «for the needs of the SMO».

In 2016, Zaika and members of his gang received lengthy sentences for extortion, banditry and kidnapping. Aliev himself was sentenced to 18 years in prison. In 2022, he joined the SMO, was pardoned, and has now returned to his previous activities. Only now under the conditions of the new reality. As a «SMO veteran», Zaika goes around traders at the Mandarin market and other similar venues and demands that they «chip in for the SMO». He also makes personal visits and calls to restaurant and shop owners, etc., for the same purpose. At the same time, he claims that he is authorized to collect money. • (Zaika): and I’ll take your passport and tear it up, go complain wherever you want.
